AYRL: Getting It Wrong - Why Your Brain REALLY Likes Mistakes!
It is often said that we learn the most during times of discomfort—when we are out of our depth and faced with a challenge. In this edition of our Are You REALLY Listening? interactive workshop, we invite parents and tweens to explore the value of lifelong learning and why a high grade isn't the "end game."
Learning is a Two-Way Street
We’ll be exploring the idea that learning doesn't have an age limit. This session isn't just for the tweens; it’s an opportunity for parents to reflect on their own ongoing growth. We believe in the power of intergenerational learning:
Old from Young: How the fresh perspectives, digital fluency, and curiosity of tweens can teach adults to see the world differently.
Young from Old: How the experience, resilience, and hindsight of parents can provide a roadmap for navigating obstacles.
Meet Our Expert
We will be joined by Dr Will Zoppelini PhD, MSc, BA. Researcher and Founder of Coffee & Theory. With over 22 years of experience across primary, secondary, SEND, higher education, and sport, Dr. Zoppelini will explain the science behind learning to help both parents and tweens unlock their "learning power."
Every learning journey is unique. This event is designed to give families faith in their abilities and the resilience to keep at it together, even when things get tough.
